South Fayette School Board Awards Contracts for $25 Million High School Renovation

With bids coming in well below budget estimates , the South Fayette Township School Board was afforded the luxury of accepting numerous add alternates for this major addition/renovation to the High School. The largest contract ($16,962,000), was granted to Yarborough Development of McKeesport for General Construction.  The HVAC contract belongs to Hranec Sheet Metal of Uniontown in the amount of $2,233,750. Plumbing Construction including the add alternate for Fire Suppression went to Shipley Bros. of Cranberry Township. A-1 Electric of Venetia will perform the Electrical Contract valued at $1,679,000. The Technology Communications contract ($1,149,000) belongs to Internet Security LLC of Pittsburgh. Trimark SS Kemp of Robinson Township secured the Food Service Equipment contract for $227,223.

Other companies awarded contracts: Allegheny Educational Systems Inc. for Tech-Ed Equipment ($411,300), Executive Landscaping Inc. for Landscaping Construction ($46,620) and ProGrass LLC for Stadium Improvements ($483,457).

P. J. Dick of Pittsburgh is the Construction Manager for the project. Zelienople based Eckles Architecture and Engineering is the Architect.
