Wilkes-Barre District Looks to Build New High School

Wilkes-Barre, PA - A committed plan to consolidate Meyers and Coughlin High Schools and build a new District High School is on a revised course. After zoning issues with the city, a location outside the corporate limits in under strong consideration. A team of architects and engineers (including WKL Architects, Borton-Lawson, and A-E Group) are completing a feasibility study - this new plans will be presented to the school board by the end of March, 2017.

Current estimate of the construction budget for the new building is between $80 and $110 million .
