Allegheny Health Chooses North Hills Site for "Micro-Hospital"

Town of McCandless, Pa : Allegheny Health Network in conjunction with the micro-hospital operator Emerus are seeking approval to construct a facility in the near the intersection of McKnight Road and Duncan Avenue.

The new hospital will include an emergency room and up to 15 in-patient rooms - the new hospital is expected to be approximately 35,000 to 40,000 square feet suggesting a construction investment of $18 to $25 million .

The next step in the process is for the White Plains, NY developer Seavest to purchase property, including 10 acres of protected land, for the site.

A construction schedule will be announced pending Town Council approvals.
