New Market/Retail Center Expected in Pittsburgh's Strip District
Jan 07, 2019
Pittsburgh, Pa: The old produce terminal in the Strip District is destined to become a center for restaurants and office space. McCaffery Interests, the Chicago based developer, is close to finalizing a deal with the Urban Redevelopment Authority that will grant the developer a 99 year lease.
McCaffery is also negotiating to purchase an additional building on Smallman Street with plans for retail, offices, and a parking garage.
If all proceeds accordingly, with local approvals and a finalization of the lease, construction on initial phases could be underway by the second quarter of 2019.
