$20 Million DNA Lab Facility Slated for Pennsylvania State Police

Greensburg, PA (Westmoreland County) : The Pennsylvania Department of General Services is soliciting bids ( GG, HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical primes ) for the construction of a new DNA lab at the State Police facility in Greensburg. The state estimates the total construction cost at between $19 and $23 million .

The bid due date is currently set for January 8, 2020 , with a pre-proposal scheduled for December 11.

Work includes demolition, site utilities, site preparation, and construction of a new 59,800 SF lab/office building . A new 1,850 SF maintenance building is also included in the bid.

Pittsburgh based DRS Architects is the lead design firm for the project.
