Exeter Township Moving Forward on New Municipal Complex

Reading, PA (Berks County): Exeter Township has purchased an existing shopping center on Perkiomnen Avenue and intends to build a new municipal complex that will house governmental activities. A new recreation area is also included in preliminary plans.

KCBA Architects, with offices in Hatfield and Center Valley, are completing a feasibility study and will move to the design phase in the coming weeks. Pending resident input and public presentations, design should move forward into 2021 with bidding expected in the second half of next year.

A budget has not been established, but it is expected that construction costs should exceed $2 million .
